Job Description

FISH FARM LABOURER

Want a full time, permanent job?

Not afraid of hard work outdoors in all weathers?!

Then read on...

Due to internal promotion we have a vacancy for a

Trainee or Experienced Fish Farm Labourer.

The role involves looking after large quantities of trout, working with farm managers to ensure that our fish are happy and healthy before they are transported to our customers.

You will need to be physically fit as the role involves lifting and work close to water on uneven and often grassy surfaces. You will also need sufficient confidence to ask questions or greet our customers or suppliers who visit site. Whilst primarily based at our site at Costa Mill, flexibility to work at our other two sites, also near Pickering is required.

Enthusiasm when it's wet and cold plus commitment to stick at it are more important than experience. Or if you have other animal muddy farm experience and fancy a change then you could be just what we are looking for.

In return, salary ranges from £6.00 - £7.72/hour gross dependent on experience based on an average 40 hour week (with one weekend in three / time off in lieu); plus payment for farm checks and emergency call outs (once fully trained).

For an interview please call Mark Campbell, General Manager
