You will be joining a well established employer in the Derry region who have gained a global reputation over the past 60+ years in business as a leading manufacturer of bespoke products. Due to their year on year growth and achieving international targets, they are keen to speak with experienced supply chain or purchasing professionals to start a newly created role on a full time permanent basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the Business Integration Manager, you will work alongside a team of motivated individuals with responsibilities across the end-to-end supply chain including the ordering of raw materials and packaging, develop material and resource planning to control inventory on site using SAP-based ERP software. The Supply Chain Coordinator will liaise with a global supplier base to ensure that deliveries are managed on-time and in full, use optimisation techniques to support a dynamic production schedule and liaise very closely with the procurement team for performing sourcing activities and price negotiation. Furthermore, you coordinate the effective receipt of raw materials ensuring invoice queries are resolved promptly, provide supplier forecasts, maintain professional supplier relationships and prepare reports relating to stock checks for audit review.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working within a supply chain, purchasing or material planning type will will lead to success along with knowledge of MRP/ERP software - preferably SAP but not essential as full training is provided internally. You will demonstrate experience of manual capacity vs demand planning with excellent verbal and written communication with global suppliers.
